We are currently hiring for the position of:

CONTENT PRODUCER

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content, the Content Producer is a versatile creative and technical force, who’ll be tasked with creating compelling video content for TIFF’s audiences, leveraging our programming/initiatives and also conceiving original creative concepts.

Equally comfortable editing a thematic trailer, the next viral social video; or producing an emotional short documentary portrait from start to finish, the Content Producer collaborates with an ambitious interdisciplinary team of professionals at TIFF. They have a deep understanding of film, a solid visual aesthetic, and understand what makes content shareable.

The Content Producer’s experience includes pitching, storytelling, shooting, lighting, sound design, writing, interviewing guests, colour correction, pre and post production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in collaboration with the Content team at large to ideate, produce and deliver original content and video assets for various campaigns, events, and Festival across the organization’s online and in-cinema platforms.

  • Produce high-impact social video content informed by best practices, emerging trends, and through a feedback loop based on channel performance and analysis.

  • Facilitate and contribute to TIFF’s in-studio efforts for both internal and external stakeholders, including the set-up and operation of cameras, lights, and audio equipment on location or in studio.

  • Prepare for and conduct interviews with talent and/or filmmakers, as well as additional internal and external talent, as required

  • Ongoing monitoring and optimization of sponsored content performance, including ensuring proper sponsor acknowledgement and crediting across all social media channels.

  • Monitor, record, troubleshoot, and deliver livestreams and pre-recorded remote interviews

  • During Festival, work closely with the Senior Manager to build meaningful sponsored social media integrations that meet various partner objectives and KPIs while ensuring they fit TIFF’s online voice and standards.

  • Ensure that TIFF’s brand standards are adhered; look and feel is consistent and ladders up to overall campaigns; and that TIFF’s sponsors are appropriately recognized in all video output.

JOB GRADE & SALARY:

  • Job Grade 2

  • Job Grade Salary Range: 50 000.00 - 60 000.00

WORK LOCATION:

  • Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5

  • Weekly in-office requirements: 

    • Minimum 2 days (November to May)

    • Minimum 3 days (June to October) 

  • Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film/Video Production, Communication/Media Studies or equivalent.

  • Over 3 years of professional, hands-on production experience at a media organization, agency, or equivalent freelancing experience with a proven track record.

  • A proven ability to pitch, shoot, edit, and publish video content, with a strong interest and knowledge of film.

  • Expert experience with Adobe Creative Suite (ie. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.), as well as other post-production software including Final Cut Pro.

  • Thorough understanding and proven ability to produce vertical video content for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, etc.

  • Solid production management know-how with a demonstrated ability to produce in-studio or on-location.

  • Knowledge of Canon’s line of cinematic cameras (ie. C100 and C70) or similar/equivalent cameras.

  • Strong understanding and ability to record sound on location and in studio as well as sound editing and mixing skills in post-production.

  • Ability to colour correct when needed, with working knowledge of LUTs and how to apply and adjust them accordingly.
