We are currently seeking a Producer who can be nice, will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey. The Producer will oversee the day-to-day operations for the production of photography and video content. The Producer will be in charge of resourcing, scheduling, and budgets studio operations.

This role is required to be in the studio on a weekly basis and will efficiently help manage internal photography and styling resources, external freelancers and agency partners ensuring on-scope, on-time, and on-budget delivery of projects. This position reports to Director, Marketing & Studio Operations and will collaborate with the Creative, Marketing, eCommerce, Design and Merchandising teams.

The ideal candidate will have previously run a high-volume creative studio including still and motion production. They are a collaborative process-driven leader with exceptional problem-solving skills. They are well connected in the local and Canadian creative/production community and have experience leading productions across lifestyle and apparel categories.

The Producer for Roots will be responsible for the following:

  • Plan all in-studio production, ensuring asset requirements are prioritized according to the GTM schedule and other business priorities

  • Create and manage studio schedule and on-set production schedules

  • Manage studio calendar and bookings across various departments (ie on and off-figure, styling)

  • Schedule and manage all external resources, including photographers, stylists, hair & make-up technicians, models, and preppers to support the production schedule

  • Lead weekly production meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aware of their weekly deliverables

  • Track production requirements and deliverables, report and escalate issues and risks by providing information on the impacts in terms of scope resource planning or future changes

  • Manage the production budget, ensuring work is delivered on-time, on budget, and in accordance with productivity targets/KPIs

  • Required to be in the studio on a weekly basis for general upkeep and to support with all shoots/activity in the Studio

  • Work with internal Production Team on shoot prep and support with outreach to vendors (Photographers, Stylists, Hair & Makeup, etc.) to produce marketing, commercial and internal projects

  • Build great relationships with Creative, Brand, and Product Marketing Team members, as well as develop and maintain relationships with external suppliers, agencies, freelancers

  • Effectively prioritize project deliverables & assignments through effective communication with all project stakeholders

  • Be a trusted partner for Creative, Marketing, Commercial and Merchandising teams

Top candidates for the Producer role will have the following:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Photography, Business, Advertising or Marketing, or related field • Experience leading a creative studio or production team.

  • Retail experience is essential.

  • Strong working knowledge of Project Management Software such as Monday.com
