111(5) is a 1:11:05 minute photo/film documentary about a black girl's identity reclamation in adulthood. By refocusing the camera gaze from one attached to rigid, external systems of power to one of intrinsic ownership and self-infinite artistic expression, 111(5) seeks to challenge normative understandings around black female beauty and emotion.
