POV Talks: Revenge of The Black Best Friend

POV, in partnership with TIFF, is proud to present POV Talks: Revenge of the Black Best Friend on Saturday, July 16 starting 10am at TIFF Bell Lightbox. Join us in-cinema for an engaging conversation about the six-part series Revenge of the Black Best Friend — a Canneseries selection that is now streaming on CBC Gem — with series creator Amanda Parris and actress Oluniké Adeliyi. Revenge of the Black Best Friend follows self-help guru Dr. Toni Shakur (Oluniké Adeliyi) as she works to support Black actors who have been cast as token Black characters. We are excited to chat with Parris and Adeliyi about the inspiration behind the series and what they hope audiences will take away from it.

This is a free event open to the community. To obtain tickets, you and your guests must register via the Ticketmaster link here: tiny.cc/povtalksrotbbf
